(Beclomethasone) Beclocort 100 mcg
What It Is
Beclocort 100 mcg/puff is an inhaled corticosteroid metered-dose inhaler (MDI) delivering beclomethasone dipropionate, used as a controller medication for asthma in adults and children aged 5 years and older.
How It Works
As a glucocorticoid, once hydrolyzed in the lungs to its active metabolite (beclomethasone-17-monopropionate), it reduces airway inflammation by suppressing inflammatory cell activity and mediator release, improving breathing and preventing asthma symptoms such as wheezing and chest tightness.
