Artosar 50 mg is a film‑coated tablet whose active ingredient is losartan potassium, a widely used angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB)
What it’s used for:

Lowering high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults (and children 6+)

Reducing stroke risk in those with hypertension and enlarged heart (left ventricular hypertrophy)

Protecting kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure
Typical dosage:

Standard dose: 50 mg once daily, with or without food.

May be adjusted depending on your condition, up to 100 mg daily.

Take at the same time each day; if missed, skip and continue normally—do not double dose
Warnings & precautions:

Avoid during pregnancy—can harm the fetus .

Use cautiously if you have kidney or liver disease

Monitor potassium levels, as losartan can raise blood potassium.
